Twin Creeks North Community Development District
The Twin Creeks North Community Development District is a local, special-purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes as amended, and established on March 17, 2016 by the St. Johns County, Florida Board of Commissioners, Ordinance No. 2016-15 as an alternative method of planning, acquiring, operating and maintaining community-wide improvements in planned communities.
The Twin Creeks North CDD encompasses an area of approximately 954.17 acres within the unincorporated area of the St. John’s County. The land within the District is generally located north of County Road 210, south of the Durbin Creek development, east of Interstate I-95 and west of US 1.
The Twin Creeks North CDD is also authorized to exercise additional powers to finance, fund, plan, construct, reconstruct, enlarge or extend, equip, operate and maintain systems and facilities for 1) parks and facilities for indoor and outdoor recreational cultural and educational uses; and 2) security, including but not limited to, guardhouses, fences and gates, electronic intrusion-detection systems, and patrol cars, as authorized and described in Section 190.012(2), Florida Statutes (2015).
